ACE Aviation Camp for 3rd and 4th Graders (June)

ACE is an exciting aviation camp experience guided by aviation and education mentors. The ACE program introduces 3rd and 4th graders to general aviation concepts involving fun, hands-on learning activities within the unique surroundings of the Dakota Territory Air Museum. Kids will also enjoy up-close and personal tours of historical military and general aviation aircraft by famous aviators, Orville and Wilbur Wright, and Amelia Earhart and a museum scavenger hunt that is sure to educate and inspire!

Flying in the Wire Environment

Learn essential skills to safely operate and aircraft and helicopters in wire and obstruction environments. The “Flying in the Wire Environment” course is available to all aviators; whether you are an ag pilot, a survey pilot, or a pilot who operates an aircraft at landing areas surrounded by wires or obstructions. You will learn to identify risks of wires, signs of wires, what makes wires hard to see, and why wires continue to be hit. This course comes highly recommended from aviators that have attended in the past!

New Exhibit Ribbon Cutting

Be one of the first to take in the Museum’s latest exhibit. The Early Years: NDANG Operations 1947-1954 celebrates the early history of the NDANG from its inception in the late 1940s, through the Korean War era, and up to the unit’s transition to jet fighter interceptors in 1954. Max Sabin, the Fargo Air Museum’s Collections Manager, and local officials will cut the ribbon and unveil the history. Q&A to follow.
